lego and Harry Potter

http://www.lego.com/eng/harrypotter/maraudersmap/mm.asp

You know, I find pretty much anything in which lego is used in an unorthodox manner totally hilarious. I'm not sure what it is about the little lego men/women/angels/fictional characters that really cracks me up.
I think the lego harry potter is pretty spectacular.

Little jaundiced people with no knees. Or waists. But oh yes, you can give them necks. Just pull the head up a bit and BING!! automagic turtleneck.

OVERLOAD

So right now I'm doing some work. But I can't tell you what it's about. Nor should I really be doing it at school. School. I still call it school; big BIG dork here.

I'm also making a very nice poster, because I submitted a very nice abstract and am going to South Africa in a month to present it. The funny part is, there's no paper written. Nope, haven't done it yet. It's about buffalo poo.

Favorite quote: ...fistulation is impractical in a wild environment.

YES!! WILD!!! So impractical, bad sadie.

I am the completitor!!

My advisor recently wrote me a letter in which he included the following:
"Sadie has made excellent progress towards completiton of her PhD dissertatin"

Yes, I am the completitor and I will dissertatinate!!

Wot is Blogsford?

Mmmyello... So, Blogsford is the closest to being funny I could acheive after having discovered that my ultra-cool blog name, DataMonkey is already taken by some d*ck who hasn't posted in two years, but oh boy! he can program in Oracle, which *must* make him cool.

I'm from Oxford, England, a long long long time ago. See, here's my dad's website - as you can tell, it bears the horrible trademark of a Sadiedoodles Inc. product, circa 1997. But here's a very nice picture of my dad, who can't keep quiet when people photograph him.

I feel slightly presumptuous swiping Blogsford, but fairly smug. Time to customize the hell outta this thing.
